IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael "Mikey" Jerome
Miller III
March 1, 1998 – December 2, 2025
Michael Jerome Miller III, known affectionately as Mikey to his friends and family, departed from this world far too soon on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, leaving behind a legacy of joy, resilience, and profound impact on those fortunate enough to have crossed his path.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandpa and grandma Norman and Emma Lyon, grandparents: Bill and Terry Lyon, Michael J. Miller, Robert Dominguez, great uncle John Lyon, and best dog and friend Syrah Lyon.
Mikey is survived by his dad Michael J. Miller II, mom Angela M. Lyon, brothers: Nigel Farrell, Sebastian A. Miller, grandma: Angie Miller, sister-in-law Lexci Orgass, nephews: Grayson Miller, Ezra Miller, niece Capri Miller, aunts: Denise Hartman, Danette Miller, Sara Lyon, Barbra Lyon; uncles: Keith Hartman, Orlando Salas, Bradford Lyon; aunts and uncles: John and Valerie Miller, George and Carmeila Miller, Richard and Carolyn Dominguez, Wesley and Robin Plimpton; cousins: Lucas Miller, Johnny Miller, AJ Miller, Renee Miller, Elias Dominguez, Estevan Dominguez, and Jacob Plimpton.
He was born on March 1, 1998, in the picturesque city of Santa Fe, New Mexico. Mikey's early life was marked by a courageous battle against cancer, diagnosed at just 19 months old. His triumph over the disease at such a tender age was a testament to his strength and set the stage for the remarkable person he would become. He grew into an amazing and brave young man, whose mere presence could brighten even the gloomiest of days.
As a teenager, Mikey attended and graduated from high school, where he was known for his witty humor and wise beyond his years. His passion for life was evident in everything he did, from his love for wrestling to his enthusiasm for gaming, especially Grand Theft Auto. Mikey was also a frequent visitor at the movie theaters, reveling in the magic of cinema. His zest for life extended to his culinary tastes; he had an unabashed love for ribs, with his favorites hailing from Chili's and Dave and Buster's. He also enjoyed eating crab legs whenever possible. Mikey was a die-hard Raiders fan, showcasing his loyalty and spirited dedication through thick and thin.
But it wasn't just in sports that Mikey showed his steadfastness; his purpose in life was to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others. He volunteered at a local hospital, where his loving nature, coupled with his funny and wise demeanor, made him a favorite among patients and staff alike. Those who knew Mikey will remember him as a beacon of light in their lives. His ability to find humor in the mundane, to offer sage advice, and to love unconditionally were qualities that made him truly special. Mikey's spirit was infectious, and he had an innate ability to lift the spirits of those around him, making every interaction with him a cherished memory.
And then there were his nicknames — all the little things that only meant something to the people who knew him. Denise had a whole rotation for him: sometimes he was Lightning McQueen, sometimes Superman Chicken Nugget. It was their thing, and he always lit up when she said it. He called her Niecy McQueen, and he had his Mommy McQueen, and hearing him say those names was honestly one of the sweetest things in the world. And then, of course, there were the silly ones he somehow made iconic — Truckhair and Chacalaca. He could say them once and have everyone laughing. They may sound simple, but those nicknames were part of who he was with us — pieces of our everyday life with him, little moments that now mean everything.
We bid farewell to Michael Jerome Miller III, we celebrate a life lived with passion, courage, and an unwavering commitment to enriching the lives of others. His legacy will continue to inspire those who knew him to approach life with love, humor, and wisdom. Mikey may have left this world, but his indelible mark on our hearts will endure forever.
