Nellie Salazar, 75, passed away on Monday, March 6, 2023. She was preceded in death by her parents Placido G. Chavez and Angelita Montano Chavez.

Nellie is survived by her husband of 51 years Joe A. Salazar, son John Salazar, sisters: Rita Gurule, Mary Alice, also Kitty, Baal, and Brutus.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Romero, Michael Sanchez, Robert Chavez, and Phillip Reyes.  Honorary Pallbearer will Armando Romero.

Nellie's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at Shrine at St. Bernadette's Catholic Church followed by a Mass at 10:00 a.m.   Burial will be at 1:00 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
