Patrick Williams

Patrick passed away peacefully on August 15, 2025 at the age of 80, in Conroe, TX. He was born on November 24th, 1944 in Amarillo, TX to Ramon “Pete” Williams and Elsie Sisson.

Patrick graduated from Amarillo High School and joined the Naval Reserve in 1965. He served on the U.S.S. Saint Paul, and served in wartime off the coast of Vietnam until he was honorably discharged in 1967. He got a Bachelor of Science from the University of Texas Arlington in Accounting, and a Masters in Business Administration in Finance from the University of Denver. At one point, he worked for one of the “Big 6” Accounting Forms of the day, Ernst and Ernst (now Big 4, Ernst and Young). Eventually, he pursued private practice in Denver Colorado and he maintained his CPA licensing in multiple states into his 70s.

Patrick enjoyed playing cards, watching sports, and had a deep love of cats. He was an avid sports fan, especially his Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys, and he was a brilliant card player. He was intensely competitive and showed no quarter when playing cards, particularly in his favorite game of cribbage. Having deep roots in Texas, he has known and loved many people in his life, and he was especially close to his son and his two brothers Chris and Mike. He is survived by his son Marcus, his granddaughters Elizabeth and Trinity, his great granddaughters Ada Rose and Anne Maria, his nephews Michael and Steven, and his niece Carina.

Patrick's Life Celebration will begin with a Service on Friday, October 17, 2025, at 10:30am at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102. Reception will follow inside Salazar Mortuary's Event Center. Patrick will be laid to rest at 2:30pm at Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N Guadalupe St, 87501.
