Obituary

Pete Adrian Salazar, affectionately known as "Baby Pete" or "Lil Price" to his loved ones, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 27, 2024, in his hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Baby Pete was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Pete and Arleen Muñoz; uncle Mike Chavez; cousins: JoRay Bobby Gurule, Joseph Baca, Jarrod Jackson, Mike Sike, Angelo Martinez, and baby cousin Cheyanne Salazar.

He is survived by his loving parents Valentina Muñoz and Gary Salazar; older siblings: Vanessa Salazar, Gary Salazar, Jr., Johnny “Price” Salazar and wife Champaign; grandparents Casilda “Kila” Baca, Reggie and Edna Salazar; nephew Johnny Price Salazar, Jr., nieces: Joniah Salazar, Keri Salazar; nina Darleen “Dada” Romero and husband Adam, Nino Teclo Muñoz and wife Maria, aunts: Becky “Bebe”, Mary, Sylvia, Sharon; uncles: Abel, Carlos, Ivan; very close first cousins: Candice, Trina, Jessica, Alexis, Becca, TJ, Jerome, Max IV, Santana, Aza, Benjamin, Christopher, best friend Chance Perez, as well as many many second cousins, other family, and friends who loved and adored him!

Born on September 10, 1997, also in Albuquerque, Pete's vibrant spirit and creative soul touched many throughout his 26 years.

An artist at heart, Pete's passions were as diverse as his talents. He found joy in making and writing music, expressing his vision through drawing, and mastering the craft of barbering at Priceless Cuts. His hands were rarely still, often busy working on small engines, a testament to his inventive nature. Pete's sense of humor was a beacon of light, and his love for fashion was evident in his collection of shoes, clothes, and jewelry. Pete was a very stylish guy!

Above all, Pete was a loving and funny individual, whose creativity was only surpassed by his humility and willingness to help others. His unique outlook on life made him truly priceless, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Baby Pete’s life celebration will begin with a visitation on Friday, February 9, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at Reflections Chapel located at 2400 Washington St NE, 87110. Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Following the service he will be taken on a final cruise from 98th Street, down Central Ave. to his final resting place Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd. NE, 87102. The family would like to welcome friends and family to the reception after the graveside at American Legion Post 13 located at 1201 Legion Rd NE, 87102.

Pallbearers will be Johnny, Gary, Jr., Teclo, Jr., Jerome, Damion, and Chance.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Ray and Pete’s God-sisters Santana and Aza.
