Procopio "Popo" Garcia passed away on Saturday, February 26, 2022 at the age of 84.

He was preceded in death by his parents Miguel and Isabelita Garcia, wife Sally, son Anthony, brother Alfonzo, and sister Mary.

Popo is survived by his sons: David, Leroy (Maggie), Bobby; sister Margaret Lovato, brother Manuel Garcia, 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, also many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Popo was born in Manzano, New Mexico. He moved to Albuquerque at a young age. He was a very friendly person and made friends where ever he went. He spent his days cleaning his yard and his neighbor's yards. He enjoyed being outside. He enjoyed playing horseshoes with his friend Larry.

He will truly be missed.

Popo's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Thursday, March 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church located at 1860 Griegos Rd NW, 87107. Mass will begin at 10:30 a.m.  Popo will be laid to rest following the Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102.

Pallbearers will be Leroy Garcia, Joshua Garcia, David Garcia, Frank Martinez, Daniel Martinez, and Lencho Ramirez.
