Randy B. Nez passed away on Sunday, April 26, 2026.

Randy was born on April 25, 1959, in Torrance, California, to Charlotte and Edward Nez. He is of the Tlizilani (Many Goats) clan, born for Tsenjikini (honecomb rock people). He spent his early years in Pomona, California, before moving to Fort Defiance, Arizona during high school. He graduated from Window Rock High School, where he was a talented athlete, playing both baseball and football.
In his young adult years, Randy shared his love of music by singing and playing guitar with an a cappella group known as The Joshua’s, an experience that reflected his lifelong passion for music and performance.
Throughout his career, Randy worked as an independent consultant in project management, supporting various Native-owned businesses. He was known for his dedication, knowledge, and willingness to help others succeed.
Randy had a deep passion for music, especially classic rock, and could often be found listening to his favorite songs across decades. He enjoyed fishing, playing his guitar, singing, and cooking—skills he shared generously with family and friends. A devoted sports fan, he proudly supported the Phoenix Suns and Arizona Cardinals, rarely seen without wearing their gear.
He will be remembered for his goofy sense of humor, his forgiving nature, and his big heart. Randy was a devoted father, a supportive grandfather, and someone who would help anyone without hesitation. His presence brought warmth and laughter to those around him.
Randy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Until we see him again… we love you.
