Raymond J. Muniz

Raymond J. Muniz, a cherished soul and embodiment of kindness, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Born on May 29, 1926, in Muleshoe, Texas, Raymond's life was a testament to his faith-filled spirit and his innate ability to fix and create, a true handyman at heart.

Raymond was preceded in death by his wife Rafaelita Muniz, children Betty Lou Muniz, Richard Muniz, Martha Muniz and James Muniz.

He is survived by his children: Ray Muniz, Jr., Lawrence Muniz, Arthur Muniz, Lorraine Bantista, Susan Muniz; eleven grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Raymond spent the majority of his life in the beautiful landscapes of Santa Fe and Albuquerque, where he found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a profound love for watches, a passion that reflected his meticulous nature and appreciation for craftsmanship. Westerns captivated his imagination, allowing him moments of escape and adventure within the comfort of his home.

Above all, Raymond's life was defined by his unwavering commitment to his family. Raising his children and fulfilling the role of provider and protector was not just his duty but his purpose. His legacy is carried on through the lives he touched with his kind and gentle spirit. Raymond J. Muniz will be deeply missed but forever remembered as a beacon of love and strength.

Raymond's Life Celebration will begin with a visitation on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, at 6:30pm at Reflections Chapel located at 2400 Washington St. NE, 87110. Rosary will be recited at 7:30pm. Final viewing will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 11:00am also at Reflections Chapel. Service will begin at 12:00pm. Raymond will be laid to rest at 2:30pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N Guadalupe St. 87501.

Pallbearers will be David, Patrick, Vick, Matthew, Yave, and Richard.
