Rebecca A Salazar

February 16, 1925 — July 19, 2013

Becky is finally with the Lord Jesus Christ after battling ovarian cancer. Becky was predeceased by her husband, Lester E. Salazar; son, Lawrence Salazar; and sisters: Christina Lucero and Teresa Montoya.

She is survived by her sons: Joseph "Jose" Salazar, John Lester Salazar, and Louis Salazar and wife Gloria; seven grandchildren: Chris and wife Michelle, Michael and wife Shannon, Matthew, Luke, Roman, Clarice and husband Jeffrey, and Madeline; four great-grandchildren: Kelsie, Melissa, Hannah, and Brendan; one brother, Ted Sandoval and wife Esther; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Becky was known for her genealogy research and participated in the Hispanic Genealogical Research Center activities when she could. She always welcomed visitors to her home on Christmas Eve for posole. She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband, Lester, and collected bells wherever she went. Becky was always excited to meet her family for parties and lunch; and she was seen many times assisting her husband with funerals at Salazar & Sons Mortuary. She will be greatly missed by all.

Rebecca's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Thursday, July 25th from 3-5 p.m. in the Floral Chapel of Salazar Mortuary (3rd & Lead SW).

Another Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-7 p.m. prior to her Life Celebration Service which begins at 7 p.m. in the Frank A. Salazar Chapel of Salazar Mortuary.

A final Visitation will be held Saturday, July 27th at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Rosary at 9:30 a.m., and a Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 a.m. a
