Rita May Aguilar, 91, passed away in the comfort of her own home on Sunday, April 12, 2026, surrounded by her loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her husband Richard P. Aguilar, parents Ameila and Fidel Sanchez, sons: Rick Aguilar, Antone Aguilar, and Ernest Aguilar.
Rita is survived by her children: Andy and his wife Evelyn, James and his wife Connie, Paul, as well as grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Rita was born in Hondo, New Mexico on March 12,1935.
Rita's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Friday, April 17, 2026, at 10:30am at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102. Service will begin at 11:30am. Rita will then be entombed at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery located at 924 Menaul Blvd NE, 87107.
