Robert Hentz, a devoted father, veteran, and respected member of the Albuquerque community, passed away on August 7, 2025, at the age of 87. Born on September 11, 1937

He was preceded in death by his wife Marleene Hentz, son Danny Hentz and parents Gilbert and Ethel Hentz and his sisters Margaret and Helen, and granddaughter Erica Montoya.

Robert is survived by his daughters Lisa Hentz, Michele (Chipper) Williams, Jan (John) Montoya and stepchildren Cody Timmons and Ramie McGee. His grandchildren, Olivia, Brittny, Chloe, Elijah, Dio, Bennie, Julian, Gabriel, Jadyn and five great grandchildren. His sister, Louise (Bill) Haas and close friends Randy Lockwood, Ron and Clive.

Robert Hentz proudly served his country as a Navy veteran, carrying the values of dedication and honor throughout his life. Robert was a jack of all trades. Mechanic, painter, tractor work, carpenter among other things. He had a lifelong love for Western Cowboy Polo, especially playing alongside his son, and had a passion for racing cars at local tracks and head mechanic for Means racing. Robert was also a member of the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Posse, where he enjoyed the camaraderie, tradition, and connection to the community. Outside of work and service, Robert loved being on the lake fishing with family and friends. Whether on horseback, behind the wheel, or casting a line, he embraced life with an adventurous spirit and a knack for bringing joy and fun to those around him. A longtime Albuquerque resident, his memory will live on in the stories, laughter, and moments he shared with the people he loved.
