Rosina Chavez, 89, went to be with our Lord on Tuesday, December 6, 2022.

Rosina Chavez was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years and 8 months Abran L; sons: Andrew, Alfonso, Manuel; father Francisco; mother Albina; brothers: Juan, Joe; sisters:  Mary, Esperanza, Casilda, Lily, and Elina.

Rosina is survived by two sons: Robert and wife Lenore, Abe, Jr. and wife Lizzie; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Rosina was the queen of hospitality, a wonderful homemaker and an amazing cook.  She was a loving wife and mother who also loved and served God and others purely.  She also loved to crochet and sew.  But, her favorite hobby was being with people and telling them about Jesus.

Rosina's Life Celebration will begin with a Service on Monday, December 12, 2022  at 10:00 a.m. at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW, 87102. Reception will follow the Service in the Salazar Mortuary Life Event Center. Rosina will be laid to rest on Tuesday, December 13, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, 87501.

Pallbearers will be Markos Chavez, Taña Chavez, Jon Padilla, Steve Chavez, Christopher Kist and Anthony Baca.
