Ryder Lee West

It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the sudden passing of Ryder Lee West on Friday, May 15, 2026, at his home in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Ryder is survived by his mother Kim Prescott-Engelhardt; step-father Michael Engelhardt; brothers: Marcus Engelhardt, Anthony Engelhardt; maternal grandmother Beverly Prescott; paternal grandparents: Herman and Anita West; father Stacey West; siblings: Joanna Saavedra and her fiance Wesley Montgomery, Julie Saavedra, Josh Lerma, Andrea Rael, Lorna West, Preston Kepler, Ireland Kepler, Lila Kepler, Brooke Torres and her husband CJ, Edward Davis, and Derek West. He was a proud uncle to five nieces and one nephew, and he will be deeply missed by his many aunts, uncles, and cousins who loved him dearly.

Born on September 14, 2011, Ryder was a beautiful, smart, and big-hearted young man. He was finishing the 8th grade and looking forward to starting high school. Ryder had a passion for skateboarding with his friends and playing the guitar. A devoted fan of heavy metal, especially the band Slipknot, he also had a great love for animals and enjoyed watching scary movies.

Ryder's Life Celebration will be held on Friday, May 29, 2026, at 1:00pm at Sagebrush Church located at 7555 Enchanted Hills Blvd NE, 87144.
