Sally Sue Navarrete, born on May 30, 1941, departed this world on Sunday, June 15, 2025. A beloved matriarch, Sally lived a life rich in love, creativity, and generosity, leaving behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Acie and Ruth Mitchell, seven siblings, and son Tony Kear.

Sally survived by her beloved children: Kathy Morris and husband Ellis Morris, Kimberly Baca and husband Steve Baca, Karen Lopez and husband Larry Lopez, son Terry Kear and wife Daisy Kear; sister Diana Workman, twelve grandkids and many many great-grandkids who she loved dearly.

Throughout her life, Sally was known for her generous personality and her ability to make those around her feel special. She had a profound passion for her arts and crafts of which she had many talents. They were a meaningful expressions of her artistic spirit. Sally's delightful creations radiated the warmth of her heart and her desire to bring joy to others. Her baking complemented her generous nature, as she often shared sweet treats with family and neighbors, embodying a truly giving spirit. Even if you were bringing her something she ALWAYS made sure to send you home with something too. It truly made her happy to know she made someone else happy. Sally was well known for having beautiful blue eyes that captured the attention of many, mirroring the warmth she offered throughout her life.

The most important part of Sally's life was her deep devotion to her family. They meant everything to her, and she took immense pride in watching them grow and thrive. Sally believed that raising her children was her greatest success, and her legacy lives on in the values and love she instilled in her family.

She enjoyed watching wrestling, going to bingo and occasionally going to the casino. Her favorite time of the day was when she got the opportunity to entertain and spend time with her family and friends.

Sally’s purpose in life was clear: to make people happy. Her giving spirit and kind-hearted demeanor touched the lives of many, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

As we remember Sally Sue Navarrete, we celebrate a life well-lived—a life filled with love, creativity, and an unwavering dedication to family and friendship. Her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be deeply missed, yet fondly remembered for the joy she brought into this world.

Sally's Life Celebration will begin with a Gathering on Thursday, June 19, 2025, at 12:30pm at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102. Service will begin at 1:00pm.
