Obituary

Serena "Shay" Acosta, 30, returned to the Lord on Friday, August 19, 2022.

Shay is survived by her son Malachi; daughter Serenity; father Waverly Morris; mother Cynthia Acosta; stepfather Jason Graves; sisters: Tiffany, Elysia (Lima), Kalani, Allison; brothers: Solomon, Isaiah,  Ali, Elijah, Jatwan; nephews: Gary (Curly), Oliver, Omri; nieces: Eliyana, Audeceli; grandparents: Ralph and Lucille Quiroz; also her aunts who she had a special relationship with: Maria, Jalana; uncles: George Jr., Kevin, J.J., Charles; Godparents: George and Sylvia Perez, also Veronica and Jaylen and an extensive number of family and friends.

Shay was intuitive, intelligent, funny and BEAUTIFUL. She carried a vibrant, warm, emphatic spirit with her wherever she went. Everyone who experienced her love, laughter and joy were blessed. She was a very special person.

She will be missed and remembered.

Shay's Life Celebration will begin with a visitation on Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at 10:00 am at Reflections Chapel located at 2400 Washington St NE, 87110. Service will begin at 11:00 am. Shay will be laid to rest at 1:00 pm at Sunset Memorial Park located at 924 Menaul Blvd. NE, 87107.

Pallbearers will be Michael McComb, Solomon Graves, J.J. Lovato, Dennie Stallworth, George Perez, Jr. and Kevin Perez.
