Thomas "Tommy T." James Anaya, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 22, 2026, surrounded by his family.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Anastacio Anaya Jr. and Dolores Viola Anaya; sister Irene Jaramillo; Mother-in-Law Sylviana Dolores Baca; and son-in-law Matthew Gabriel Lopez

Thomas is survived by his wife and life companion: Marsha Baca Austin; children: Jessica Austin Chavez and husband Adam Boy Chavez, Jude Andrew Austin and wife Desirae Austin; grandchildren: Laila Rae Chanel and Josiah Jacob Ortiz-Allen, Tobias Nico Chavez, BellaRae Freedom Austin, Isabel Star Chavez, Ezekiel Justus Austin, Silas Orlando Chavez, Jaxen Eva Marie Chavez, Marley Sylvianna Austin, Jude Bernardo Austin, and Mercedez Holmes; great-grandchild: Shelby Grace Ortiz-Allen; siblings: Jesse and Tierza Anaya, Darlene and John Cordero, Ricky Anaya and Paula Mora, Christine and Franklin Trujillo; best friend Bryan Chacon, and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Thomas born on October 10, 1967. He had a boisterous personality and was also very kind, sensitive, and loving. He loved family parties and get-togethers. His Christian/Catholic faith was an important part of his life. His values were reflected in the way he lived and the pride he took in his family. Of all his accomplishments, none meant more to him than his family and his grandchildren. They were his greatest joy. He cherished time spent with them and found his deepest happiness in their laughter, milestones, and the simple moments shared together. Thomas retired from the plumbing and construction profession. He enjoyed fishing at Tingley Beach, where he could enjoy the outdoors and meet up with friends. Thomas loved getting on his motorcycle and just going for a ride. He had a strong appreciation for music, especially hip hop. He also loved good food and he loved his sweets.

Thomas will be remembered for his larger-than-life personality, his generous spirit, and the love he gave so freely to those closest to him. He leaves behind a legacy of family devotion and laughter. His voice, his humor, and his unmistakable presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace, and may his memory remain a blessing to all who carry him in their hearts.

Thomas’ Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Monday, August 31, 2026, at 6:30pm at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102. Rosary will be recited at 7:30pm. Final Viewing will be held on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 10:00am at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church located at 2005 N Plaza St. NW, 87104. Mass will begin at 10:30am. Thomas will then be laid to rest at Gate of Heaven Cemetery located at 7999 Wyoming Blvd NE, 87109. Reception will begin at 1:30pm at San Jose de Los Duranes Mission Parish Hall located at 2110 Los Luceros Rd NW, 87104.

Pallbearers will be Aiden Perea Cordero, Bryan Chacon, Josiah Ortiz-Allen, Rick Anaya, Jr., Adam Chavez, John Cordero, Tobias Chavez, and Dominic Jaramillo.
