Virginia Oakeley, 83, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, September 11, 2024, in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward Oakeley and Delia Garcia and daughter Sergeant 1st Class Geraldine Grant.

Virginia is survived by her daughters: Della Grant, Sharon Medrano (Martin), Kathy Valerio, also many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A heart of gold stopped beating but she will forever be in our hearts.

Virginia's life celebration will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at Iglesia Horeb located at 9800 Benavides Rd SW, 87121. Virginia will be laid to rest following the service at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery located at 924 Menaul Blvd NE, 87107.
