Amy was a graduate of Harwood Girl’s School. She completed nursing school and worked in the newborn nursery of what was then BCMC (Bernalillo County Medical Center). As she raised her family she volunteered her time throughout the years as a reading tutor, playing the guitar, singing at various nursing homes, and as a translator for the South Broadway Maternity & Infant Clinic. Amy also sang in the Mosaic Choir and held various offices within Church Women United. Amy was a dedicated member of El Buen Samaritano UMC, where she served in numerous official capacities.
