Darren Rivas

Darren Rivas passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the age of 25.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather Epi Rivas, grandmother Maria Elena Villanueva, cousins: Tony Rivas and Tisha Rivas.

Darren is survived by his father Phil Rivas; mother Ramona Rivas; step-father Brett Cutts; brothers: Nathan Rivas, Damian Rivas; sister Maiah Rivas; grandmother Bertina Rivas; nephew Ethan Rivas; and niece Peyton Rivas.

Darren was starting out his own business with his own clothing line. He was a basketball coach at West Mesa High School. He worked out twice a day. He loved music, he had the best playlist. He was a Tik Tok Celebrity. Some of the phrases he said often were, "All dogs go to Heaven", and "Yes Sir Ski."

Darren's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at 5:00pm at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW, 87102. Rosary will be recited at 7:00pm also at Salazar Mortuary. Service will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 10:00am at Eagle Rock Worship Center located at 7518 Oakland Avenue NE, 87113. Darren will be laid to rest following the Service at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery located at 924 Menaul Blvd NE, 87107. Reception will follow Burial at Eagle Rock Worship Center.

Pallbearers will be Nate Rivas, Damian Rivas, Marquis Smith, Jovany Regalado, Dominic Rivas, and Romolo Salazar.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Jonah Archuleta, Alfred Mondragon, Adan Maldonado, Antonio Maldonado, and Estevon Maldonado.
