Douglas Andrew Powell, 47, passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Doug is preceded in death by his wife Sarah, grandparents: P. Lloyd Powell, Ruth Powell, and Maria Griego.

Doug is survived by his 4 sons: Garion Powell of Longview, TX. Jaden Powell, Conner Powell, Kylan Powell all of Albuquerque, NM; parents Lloyd Powell (Elizabeth Griego-Powell) of Albuquerque, NM, Patty Lindner of Santa Fe, NM; sisters: Erin Powell of Portland, ME, Bebhinn Nagle (Chris Cox) of Commerce City, CO; brothers: Matthew Powell (Wendy Griffin) of Marlborought, MA, Timothy Roose (Audra) of Tulsa, OK. Doug was also loved by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Doug was born on December 30,1975 to Lloyd Powell and Patty Lindner in New Brunswick, NJ. Doug was an avid lover of all things science fiction but especially Star Wars, Star Trek, Marvel and DC Comics. Doug married Amy Powell in May of 1999 and they had 4 boys, whom Doug loved very, very much. He taught them all he could about the Star Wars and Marvel worlds. Doug and Amy divorced in 2009. In 2013 Doug married the love of his life Sarah Whitling.

Doug loved building and repairing computers in his spare time and also helping others with all their computer needs. Doug worked with many organizations in customer service and help desk positions throughout his life. Before his death, Doug worked at Sandia Computers as their Senior Build Technician.

Per Doug’s wishes, there will be no memorial service.
