Jimmy "Santiago" Chavez, 78, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his father Cecilio Chavez, mother Gertrudes Garcia, and granddaughter Desiree Chavez.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 58 years Mary Evelyn Chavez; sons: Joseph Chavez (Michelle), Mitchell Chavez, Keith Sullins; daughters: Carol Gutierrez (Victor Gutierrez), Annette Berry (Samuel), Chastity Espinoza (Steven); grandchildren: Angel Hawkins (Don), Joe Chavez, Jerry Ortega (Antoinette Hernendez), Julian Futierrez (Liz Murufo), Amber Knapp, Brianna Berry, Chastity Berry; great-grandchildren: Xavion Hawkins, Izaiah Prtega, Nevaiah Ortega, Ariana Gutierrez; sister Georgia Montoya (Joe); brother in law Bonaficio Lucero; cousins: Sammy Garcia (Juanita), Donato Garcia, Marty Garcia (Delphina), Tanya Garcia, Gilbert Garcia (Mode), Tommy Garcia, Onelia Garcia, and Leroy Garcia (Betty Jean).

Jimmy loved taking his family and extended family to the mountains. He enjoyed hunting fishing, cars and motorcycles. Spending time with his grandkids was a highlight in his life.
