Joe D. Aragon Obituary

Our beloved Joe Desiderio Aragón, 75, was called by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday January 1, 2020.

He was born in Dawson, Colfax County, New Mexico to Priscilla (García) Aragon and Raymond Aragón on March 23, 1944.

Joe worked a variety of different jobs to support his family but mainly worked in construction. He worked as a cook and cooked up many wonderful Thanksgiving Day feasts for his family. He enjoyed ventures in selling including owning his own ice cream truck and vending machines. He worked hard to provide his family with adventures including having an RV to take his family on road trips enjoying the journeys much more than the destinations stopping frequently to explore small attractions on the road. His health declined in the later years, but this gave his family many opportunities to visit with him and spend time together, whether that was going with him to the casino or just hanging out and having a meal together.

He was preceded in death by his parents Priscilla and Raymond Aragon, and grandparents Abudia (García) Salvador and Elias Garcia, siblings Rosalie, Jimmy and Elias; and his son Joseph.

He is survived by his loving spouse of 55 years, Annie (Ulibarrí); children Stanley, Annette, Paulette and spouse Randy Romero, Joyce and daughter in law Cristina; grandchildren Arleane, Sebastian, Marie, Anthony, Nathaniel, Dajah, Joseph, Randy Keana, J.R., Alyssa, Annelisa and Jordyn and great grandchildren Amara, Onesty, Aiden and Arielle.
