Jose Rogelio Sanchez

Jose Rogelio Sanchez, 35, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2020.

He is survived by his parents Ofelia Jimenez and Roberto Sanchez, Sr.; brothers: Roberto Sanchez, Chuy Godinez; and his daughter Yaritza Sanchez. 

Jose made the world a better place. His lust for life, infectious laugh, contagious smile, spontaneous antics and constant quest to make every person around him happy changed so many people’s lives. He appreciated every moment and spent every day doing what he loved with family and friends.  

“Rog” was well known in his community and trucking industry. His unique talent and knowledge of the industry brought him a life full of excitement and a great deal of friends. Roger became a part of the truck show family immediately through Durkin Diesel, where many were fortunate enough to share memories with him. Traveling together with many close friends that became family where they would go far and wide. Roger could be heard amongst all the rumbling truck engines and any crowd because of his contagious laugh. There wasn’t a stranger that Roger ever met, everyone became his buddy. He would invite anyone and everyone over at the truck show BBQ dinners, telling stories and sharing laughs, and he was always the main star.  

He will eternally be remembered for his infectious laugh, his helping hands, and his benevolent heart. Roger, you are larger than life and your heart lives on in all of us. 

Jose's Life Celebration will be held in Lemitar on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at 10:00 am.
