The beautiful heart of Molly Lucero stopped beating on Sunday, July 30, 2023. She was called home to Heaven in a state of peace while surrounded by her loved ones.
Molly was born on the 12th day of June, 1938, in the town of Bernalillo to Victor and Anita Estrada. She was the second of eight children, whom she took pride in helping her mother look after.
On August 22, 1959, Molly married the love of her life, Reynaldo Lucero. They had three children, Linda, Sandra, and Andrew. Molly and Reynaldo's marriage was a testament of love and devotion.
All of her life, Molly was a faithful Catholic. She found spiritual fulfillment in the decades of being a musician for the adult Spanish choir at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church. Playing the guitar, keyboard, and singing was a passion and delight to her. Other hobbies that brought joy to Molly were gardening, sewing, crocheting, and bowling.
Molly had a character of creativity, honesty, compassion, humor, and courage. Her spirit was like that of an angel; always loving, nurturing, and selfless. Her beautiful soul was expressed in her love for everyone, especially her family. She was a gift to all.
Though her life was marked by moments of joy and fulfillment, Molly's journey was not without sorrow. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, father, mother, brothers, sister, nephews, and grandson Phillip Valverde, Jr.
She is survived by her children: Linda and husband Phillip, Sandra, Andrew; grandchildren: Lynette and husband Luis, Krystal and fiancé Alex, Tiffany and fiancé Izaiah, Katrina and husband Moses, Mariah and husband Joshua; great-grandchildren: Gabriella, Raylyn, Atyana, Elysia, Anthony, Danielle, Isabella, Benicio, Malik, Karina, YIianna, Niko, Noah, Kaiden, Gianna, Zailey; great-great-granddaughter: Amelya; siblings: Elizabeth, Umberto, and Wilfred.
