Ronald G. Ford, Jr.

As cranes fly south overhead, the soul of Ronald G. Ford, Jr., 64, soars to his final destination with our Lord, God in heaven.

Preceding him in death were his father Ronald G Ford, Sr. (1978); in-laws Alberto Torres (1985) and Angelina Torres (2009); Grandma Petrita Quintana (2019); sister Laura Harwood (2021).

Ronald leaves behind his wife of 45 years Ramona Torres-Ford, who was by his side at his time of passing; children: B Xavier Ford, Matthew and Laurie Ford, Martina Ford and husband Zay Crain; beloved grandchildren: Chrislynn, Dakota, Kailynn, Cadence, Cash, Desiree; his folks Mary Lou and Anthomy Salazar; siblings: Cathy and Bill Salazar- Pollack, Chris and Charity Salazar, Morgan Harwood, David and Rhonda Salazar, Danny Ford, Eddie Salazar; in-laws John and Lynda Torres, Susi and Derek Jones and Anita Torres-Cobb as well as many nieces, nephews and tios.

Ron was born in Brooklyn, NY Sept. 3, 1957 and began his career delivering groceries, working in a deli and restoring brownstones. Subsequently he graduated Torrejon AFB High School in 1975, worked at AAFEES 1975-1978, Labelle Showroom 1978-1986, and Arkansas Best Freight 1986-2021.

He was dedicated, hard-working and admired by bosses and coworkers.

Ron loved spending time with his family, grilling, working on vehicles and raising steers. He was always upbeat and encouraging, extremely helpful and known to carry on a spirited conversation on "current events" or " politics" cup of coffee in hand.

Ron was a dedicated, lifelong Catholic and a true blessing to all.

Ronald’s Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary to be recited on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 8:30am at Holy Family Catholic Church located at 562 Atrisco Dr. SW, 87105. Mass will begin at 9:00 am.
