Rosie Medina, affectionately known to all as “GG”, a lifelong beacon of laughter, generosity, and love, passed away peacefully in Albuquerque, New Mexico on October 31, 2023. Born in Garfield, New Mexico on July 3, 1934, Rosie’s zest for life was expressed in her love for family, celebrating life, and bringing joy and love to all those she touched.

Rosie was preceded in death by Eutiquio, her loving husband, of 50 years, Sharon Medina(daughter in law), multiple siblings, cousins, and her parents Lino and Nicolasa Chavez of Array, New Mexico.

She is survived by her children; Richard,(Hersperia, Ca), Robert (Rebecca) Albuquerque, NM, Rosemarie Lucero (Albuquerque, NM), and Ronald Medina (Natalie) Rio Rancho, NM. The love of her life was spending time with her grandchildren, Danielle Medina (Aurora), Adrian Medina, Ricky Lee Medina, Renae Vaughn (Brett), Angelina Medina, Christopher Medina, Joseph Lucero, Gabriel Medina (Ramona), Nicholas Medina (David Charlie), Ashlee Medina, Marissa Medina and Dez Lucero (Kiki Se). Not to be outshined by seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

A woman of varied and spirited interests, she found pleasure in the thrill gambling provided, displaying her culinary expertise and decorating her home with gusto for every holiday. As a committed Lobos fan, she never missed watching a game and her doll collection was a testament to her eternal childlike wonder. Above all, Rosie’s life was dedicated to the happiness and contentment of others, ensuring nobody left her home without a full stomach and a lighter heart.

She will be lovingly remembered for the laughter she sparked, the love she shared, and the many lives she touched with her radiant aura of generosity. Rosie’s enduring spirit will never be forgotten.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Lucero, Gabriel Medina, Renae Vaughn, Ashlee Medina, Angelina Medina, Nicholas Medina.

Honorary pallbearers will be Adrian Medina, Ricky Lee Medina, Christopher Medina, Marissa Medina, Danielle Medina, Kiki Se, Ramona Candelaria, Shamuel Campos, Brett Vaughn, and Brian McGuire.
